For Gene Bishop, helping people attain their financial goals is more than gratifying. His passion is working with select families, entrepreneurs and business people, professionals, and charities. His work with these constituencies is to help them create net-worth, manage net-worth, preserve net-worth, and pass-on net worth.

Prior to coming to Northpoint, Bishop has served for several years as an advisor for a regional investment firm. He has served as a Chief Financial Officer and Controller in both public and private enterprises. He applied his twenty-five years' of financial management experience in his own management consulting practice catering to small, medium, and large businesses.

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Tulsa and a Masters of Business Administration degree from Oklahoma City University. He holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, and 66 licenses. He is licensed in Life, Accident, Health, and Variable Annuities.

Active in his community, Bishop served nine years on the board of directors for The Parent Child Center of Tulsa, where he Chaired the Planned Giving Committee. He is an active member of the Tulsa Chapter of Financial Planning Association, serving as Past President and Past Chairman. He is a Past President for the Tulsa Chapter, Oklahoma Business Ethics Consortium and served as VP of Development. He interned on the board of directors for the Mental Health Association through Leadership Tulsa, and is past board member for the Tulsa Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants. He has served as an active member in the Tulsa Chamber Small Business of the Year Awards committee. He is a member of Leadership Tulsa and has helped organize a past Executive Leadership Tulsa Series. He is member of the Friends of Finance, University of Tulsa, and is past Chairman of the Board for Southside Christian Church, Tulsa. Bishop is a life-long Oklahoman.

He is married, has a married daughter who resides in Tulsa, and is a proud granddad.of a busy three year old grandson.
